Our pre-press team possesses a high level of expertise in the most modern desktop publishing software packages. Our staff are built up of designers who have extensive support skills enabling them to deliver an efficient, specialised service.
Our pre-press team offers page ready solutions available on a variety of media platforms including print and web-ready images. All formats can be delivered via most modern distribution methods, considerably decreasing both monetary and time costs.

Pre-Post Flight Checks

Alpine employ’s Adobe PitStop Professional for our Quality Control purposes.
PitStop Professional is the industry standard for PDF pre-flight, auto-correction and editing. It’s the Adobe® Acrobat® plug-in that is indispensable to every graphic arts and publishing professional. Enfocus PDF Profiles allow you to check critical PDF attributes and automatically correct common errors. Powerful Certified PDF® technology enables immediate visual feedback and allows you track every edit made to a PDF.

Copy Chasing

Alpine have developed and deployed an entry level ad-booking/CRM system which meets the demands of the smaller advertising department (20seats), the system follows an ASP model and can be running within days. The copy-chasing screen shows for each relevant ad the name & details of the person to chase, the copy instructions, and the current status of the copy, allowing simultaneous users to chase copies without repetition. A visual reporting system can also be enabled that provides users with more easy to follow progress tracking.

With this system in place Alpine provides an accountable copy chasing service that integrates seamlessly with your sales team. Copy deadlines are met leaving your sales team more time to concentrate on their primary activity.

Scanning

Highquality colour reproduction is probably more dependent on the quality of the input than on the output. To ensure the highest level of quality, we utilise a Scitex Eversmart Pro. The industry has long regarded Scitex as the leader in digital colour reproduction. With its greater colour fidelity and higher resolution than that of most drum scanners, we are able to handle the most critical of colour jobs.

The EverSmart is a high-resolution onepass flatbed CCD scanner with a maximum scanning area of up to 12" x 17"/over sized A3.

With Scitex's revolutionary XYStitch technology the EverSmart can scan any original up to 2,700% at 300 dpi and can scan reflective art, positive and negative slides, B&W and printed material.
Although we utilize the best technology, our staff are Scitex trained color experts. We know that there is much more involved in scanning than just image size and resolution. Getting the very best scan depends on how the image will be reproduced; what kind of press, what kind of paper, and what kind of ink.
